The Abbate family – originally from a small town in Sicily, Italy called Cinisi – opened their first bakery in Brooklyn, New York in 1976 located at Bay Ridge Ave (69th St.) & 15th Ave. There, they developed their own family recipes that they continue to use today. The business has been proudly passed down from generation to generation, allowing us to keep our products and quality consistent and traditional. In 2000, we moved the business to New Jersey - giving us a new home in the heart of Matawan, where customers have become both friends and family. We are blessed and grateful for all of our customers who have allowed our business to become what it is today. With our dedication to artisanal baking, we craft fresh, homemade confections that set us apart in the industry. It has always been a true joy to serve products that we enjoy taking home to our own families. We strive to keep our traditions alive, maintaining the same quality and values we originally brought to the industry back in Brooklyn.
